2008 weblog awards: Vote Kosmopolito, Nosemonkey's EUtopia, and A Fistful of Euros! (updated)

The Euroblogging scene is rather small, and I think we should support it by voting for Kosmopolito, nominated for best European (non-UK) blog, Nosemonkey'S EUtopia, nominated for best UK-blog, and A Fistful of Euros!

Go and vote here:
Voting will go until January, 13.

(Updated at 10:30)

Let me quote from the comment by Kosmopolit who also made me aware of the fac that A Fistful of Euros has been nominated in the Best Business Blog category:
"[T]he EU focused blogosphere still has to go a long way as each of us ended up in another category. Even the "Best European blog" category is just meant for different national blogs (basically everything that is non-UK). Not to mention the relative small readership for any EU focused blog. Let's hope 2009 will change that!"
I fully share these remarks!

Thanks for your support. Don't forget "A fistful of Euros" for the Best Business Blog.

Anyway, the EU focused blogosphere still has to go a long way as each of us ended up in another category. Even the "Best European blog" category is just meant for different national blogs (basically everything that is non-UK). Not to mention the relative small readership for any EU focused blog. Let's hope 2009 will change that!

And I also don't like the voting process (vote every 24h!) as it favours fans over readers. But well, popularity contests are about popularity not about quality ;-)

Thanks for your support. And I second Kosmopolito's remark.

Likewise, ta muchly. Though everyone should vote for Created in Birmingham in the UK category rather than me - otherwise mad right-wing Daily Mail columnist Melanie Phillips will win the damned thing. Last year the UK category was won by a barking mad far-left idiot who reckons that people who detonate car bombs in crowded markets are "heroes" - we can't have a similarly insane right winger who seems to blame "the Arabs" for everything win this time around.
