STOP BLAIR!This goes against proposals and rumours which see Tony Blair as first EU Council President who would take office for 2 1/2 years after the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty.
The main and strong arguments of the petition are Blair's support of the Iraq war and his fight against the inclusion of the European Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms into the Lisbon Treaty.

Well, it is not a brand new campaign.
The guys over at European Tribune launched it last year with quite some success. But then after the Irish referendum it became not so relevant anymore.
But I have the feeling that the debate about the new permanent Council President is about to start again...
Pity they didn't bother to improve their design in the meantime... :-(

But I think that they are talking about a major update for ET.
It doesn't need to be new to be right. But yes, the style needs to be improved. But that's a general problem of ET.
